You're right. You are accomplished and more than capable. The thing is, you'll make substantially more money if you focus on your career and work with a trustworthy financial advisor. If your heating and air conditioner dies, are you going to fix it or call an expert? This is what a financial planner does for you. We listen, put together your custom plan, and give you the mental space to focus on what you do best. Definitely check in every six months to a year and go over things with your financial advisor. This is how you'll finally sleep better at night.
Maybe? But maybe not. This isn't a "you have to buy something" kind of thing. You pay a flat fee for the plan (called fee-based planning). If you want insurance or investments, awesome. We got you covered. If not, no worries. You have your plan, and it's yours to keep. You've already paid us for it. We are all good. But force? That's not our thing.
Fee-based planning is where you pay for your customized financial plan. It's a flat rate and depends on how many factors we'll take into consideration for your plan. The more aspects, the more that goes into perfecting your plan.
You can receive a quality plan from another financial advisor elsewhere. In the case where you don't pay for the plan, they'll work to talk you into purchasing a product such as insurance or investment. Those are quality products and are built into a plan to protect and grow your assets. However, there sometimes may be hidden fees or higher fees. Her Financial Plan does not have any hidden or higher fees. Since you'll have a fee-based plan, everything costs exactly what you expect and nothing more (we don't even charge extra for tax). If you want insurance and/or investments, we've got you covered.
You financial plan is a living and growing document. If you look back five or 10 years (or even to 12 months ago!), was your life the same? Did you have the exact same bills? Was your family exactly what it is now? Exactly. Life comes at us and we adapt. Thus, your plan will need to change and adapt to your life now (and in the future). "So I'll have to pay the same amount in six months or a year, when things change?" No. Existing HFP members receive a special rate when it's time to update a plan. And it'll be the same experience. No pressure. Just discussing what is important to you and answering any questions.
Yes. We treat you the way we want to be treated. And here's the bottom line: If everything we do is in your best interest, then it will all work out. You really are first and most important.
